Brenda Kilgore studied painting and drawing extensively beginning with a Bachelor's degree in illustration from The Fashion Institute of Technology. She worked as an art director for Pyramid Handbags, designing children's accessories for such companies as Walt Disney and Warner Brothers as well as freelance designs for Regina Porter Women's wear. Her designs were featured in "W" magazine as notable. She left designing to follow her desire for fine art and studied several years with Burton Silverman. At that time, she decided to pursue her Masters degree at New York Academy of Fine Art, Graduate School of Figurative Art. There she studied with Dean Keller, Randy Melick, Ted Schmidt, Patrick Connors and Vincent Desiderio among others. She has also taken classes at The Art Students League in New York and most recently studied with Anthony Ryder and Tim Stotz in 2004 at Studio Escalier in Argenton-Chateau, France for a three month summer intensive. She currently teaches part time at The Armory Art Center, West Palm Beach, FL.

Brenda moved to Florida in 2002 to become partners with Lisa DiLeo in The Faux Pros in a faux finish and mural painting business which has worked all over the country for such clients as Reggie Jackson, Sylvester Stallone and many notable private homes and public restaurants. Their work was recently seen in "World's Leading Estates" magazine.
